Ode to My Sister

I am so proud of my sister. She is pregnant with a VERY special baby. Special, you may say? Yes, special because she is going to be my NIECE! I am going to be an Auntie. Oh, I cannot wait to give her advice, send her fun presents, boost her self esteem, all that Auntie stuff. Oh and did I mention that she is gorgeous? I saw her sweet face at the ultrasound appt. Back to my sister. She has done this amazing thing, carried my niece and loved her to pieces for 8 months now. She has been sick, tired, sore, all of those things that pregnant ladies have to endure and that we sorta just expect them to deal with without complaint. Well my sister has done it. Soon, we will greet this new little baby girl and all because my fantastic sister has been working so hard to bring her into the world.

I was really lucky to make it to her baby shower last weekend in Tejas. It was so much fun! We played some games, ate great food and saw old friends and family. She got some fabulous gifts too. Woo hoo!

Here is a montage of the event - you wish you were there, don't cha!?

Now, while I was away my husband was in charge of the babies. Here are a couple of pictures of how well they faired without mommy . . .
